Title : Camanche, Pardee, and New Hogan Reservoirs, California, U.S.A. June 1991

Caption :

The timberlands of the Stanislaus National Forest in the Sierra Nevada Mountains are visible in this low-oblique, east-looking photograph. The cross-shaped Pardee Reservoir on the Mokelumne River lies upstream from the Camanche Reservoir, visible near the bottom center of the photograph. Both reservoirs are used for drinking water and for agriculture. South of the Pardee Reservoir lies New Hogan Reservoir on the Calaveras River. Both the Mokelumne and the Calaveras originate in the high Sierra Nevadas and are dependent on snowmelt for water flow.
